This site provided design challenges with the respective to its terrain. The site rises over 80’ from street level with less then 20% of it at grades with a slope of 10% or less. To accommodate apartment buildings with the required parking we terraced the site with over 1,000 lineal feet of retaining walls. We were not only able to meet the owners goal of 100 apartments we managed to provide an accessible path from the top building to street level without any mechanical lifts. With a farming vernacular these modern apartments feel right at home in the Palouse & at WSU-Go Cougs!
